Coast Guard Needs Your Support

At Coast Guard Swansea our aim is to rapidly expand our current membership numbers from 70 to at least 115. Currently most of our members are in their mid-60’s.

We are looking for a new breed of volunteers to become a part of our worthy cause.

If you are over 18 years of age, have a love for the water and want to ensure people’s safety on the water then please support us.

Coast Guard Volunteer Jobs

Coast Guard Training

Prevention is the best cure and knowledge is the best way to prevent boating safety incidents. We encourage all mariners to constantly expand their knowledge.

The Australian Volunteer Coast Guard, a nationally accredited and Registered Training Organisation [RTO], offers the following courses and in some states, where applicable, a Boat Licence Course:

  • Basic Seamanship & Small Boat Handling Course
  • Marine Radio Course
  • Coastal Navigation

Fundraising Events

Fundraising forms an integral part of our organisations survival. While we receive nominal annual funds from State sources to cover administrative reporting, we rely on fundraising events to cover the cost of facilities, equipment, training and other operations.
